Each hat is pressed in a fire mold to obtain our patented shape.  With this method, the straw is subject to flames at extreme temperatures.  No two hats look alike due to the differences in heat applied, age of the palm straw and moisture content of the material.  Some hats have more character than others due to the flames. Some may contain burn markings in several places, some only a few, some none at all. Each one truly is its own work of art.

Cool Gift for your Fire Fighter

These are unique and way better than a plaque on the wall. Only downside is the delay in getting the hat shield. Others have shared it so there must be a reason they have not switched to a faster means. Hope it’s as great as the hat when I get it. Have bought two as gifts so far, debating on a third already

Thank you for speedy delivery 🤗👏🏽 this is a great gift for my retiring Captain! I still have my hat when I retired in 2017. Awesome hat, it provides enough shade for ur eyes, covers back of ur neck, and it handles the wind better than the wide brim straw hats. Shaka Buuu🤗🤙🏽
